Logo Design, Branding & Corporate Identity
The question I get asked the most is, "how long will it take to design my logo?". How long is a piece of string? Some logos take a couple hours, some take a couple weeks to perfect. It all depends on what brief I have been given (or not given in some cases!), your current branding/website, the end use for the logo and how much input you want to have. With the information given and points discussed, I can usually give you a rough estimate at logo design. I can also take into consideration your budget for my time.
With many successful brand identities and re-brands under my belt, I will be able to work from scratch, creating a new logo and look for your business... or develop your existing brand, evolving your logo and suiting it together with stationery, social media and your website..
I can just create a logo if that’s all you need or I can go the full stretch and create a whole identity for you which will include stationery design (business cards, letterheads & comp slips), website/social media design or recommendations and a brand guide for your business which specifies any typefaces and colours used in your identity.
Do you need one? Every brand should have a basic set of brand guidelines. They can vary from a Basic Guide which is a single page containing your logo, typeface used in all communications and your colours. Or you can opt for an Extended Guide to include different types of your logo (if you have different areas of your business, or your logo may sometimes appear on a black and white photocopy). The extended guide will also include different typefaces which may be used, any design elements, borders/headers/footers plus any other requirements such as e-mail signatures.
A brand guide is an optional extra at the time of contracting your logo design. This is a flat rate cost of £20, or £30 for the extended guide.
